Heritage International uses the dry-mix shotcrete process whereby dry material is shot through a hose using compressed air. At the nozzle, water is injected into the dry material before it impacts the substrate it’s being sprayed onto.
Heritage International uses the dry-mix shotcrete process because of its many advantages:
- The dry concrete material can easily be transported to hard access and remote areas
- The concrete material can be mixed on as required
- Less maintenance on equipment is required should the dry mix process get stopped unexpectedly
- Hoses are easier to manoeuvre than wet-mix process hoses
- More precise material installation when patching concrete
- Admixes are activated on command and are initiated just before installation
The shotcrete process is best suited for the following applications:
- Stabilisation of vertical or near-vertical terrain
- Repairing slope failure
- Providing lateral support
- Repairs of existing structure
- Placement of concrete in difficult to reach places
- Water features
- Swimming pools
- Retaining walls
- Tunnel walls
- Reinforcement of both temporary and permanent excavations
- And many more…
The Heritage International Way
Heritage International distinguishes themselves from the rest by altering the concrete to match the texture, colour, and form in the geo-environment so that it blends in with the environment. This provides a look that you will not be able to tell apart from natural rock.
We endeavour to design and install structural and architectural shotcrete wall finishes that give peace of mind and assurance and that are artfully crafted and structurally sound. We place a great deal of attention on finer detail, we are great to work with and we are there every step of the way.
As artisans we also understand the importance of our nozzle men and air lance operators, understanding the importance of water cement ratios and the consequences of rebound encasement in our projects. Our plant operators can strip and repair a rig in best time, leading to less site delays and maximum daily output. We work with up-to-date equipment, a happy workforce, and most importantly, a very satisfied client for life.
